APT Convention 2026 Defining clinical excellence - together
On 24–25 April, we will gather in Berlin for the next meeting of our growing APT network.
APT is one of the leading training programs in psychedelic-augmented psychotherapy worldwide. It is also a professional community shaped by shared questions, high standards, and the ongoing task of defining what clinical excellence in this field should look like. This year’s convention brings together educational updates, new research, clinical perspectives, self-experience, and lots of space for exchange within the network. We have assembled what we believe is our strongest APT Convention program so far, and we would be glad to welcome you there.
Friday, 24 April opens with Henrik and Andrea Jungaberle sharing developments from news about the expansion of the MIND curriculum and the successful start of psilocybin compassionate use. The program continues with Gerhard Gründer presenting the final results of the EPIsoDE psilocybin trial.Tomasz Wieczorek speaks on structural parallels between dream and psychedelic states, Aakriti Pant flies in from New Dheli to speak on Hindu concepts of the mind (Buddhi) as interpretive frameworks for psychedelic experience, and Meghan Della-Crosse dives into ecological systems theory both from a research lens and as a tool for clinical practice.
Saturday, 25 April begins with a clinical contribution on short-term psychedelic-assisted psychotherapy by Sofiya Stojadinovic. From there, the morning opens into two parallel directions: Marie Bastian will lead a breathwork group, while Henrik, Andrea, and Lea Klausmann present the next chapter of the MIND Curriculum and invite participants into a shared process of development and co-facilitation.
The convention concludes with the 20th INSIGHT Forum, more on that below.
All participants are welcome to bring one guest free of charge — a colleague, collaborator, or peer who would like to get to know the MIND Foundation and the APT approach more closely. If you don't know any APT alumni yet, write to us - it may still be possible to come, and we would be delighted to see you in Berlin.
Henrik, Hans, Eugen, Maja, Inna, and the whole APT Team
On 25 April, we will host the next INSIGHT Forum in Berlin:
Beyond Reductionism in Psychedelic Research? The Interplay of Biology, Experience, and the Patient’s Path
This special evening will take place at an important moment for the field. Following the publication of the German EPIsoDE study, the forum will facilitate a broader conversation about how psychedelic research can take into account both biology and lived experience, psychotherapy and the patient’s journey.
The program features a keynote address by Dr. Christopher Timmermann, followed by a dialogue with Dr. med. Andrea Jungaberle and former patient Steffi Küster.
We invite you to enjoy this evening at a very special location: The Bechstein Network Atelier in the heart of Berlin.
In the spirit of the INSIGHT Forum, the evening event brings together scientific reflection, experiential framing, and communal exchange. This aligns with the forum's role within MIND's public education strategy.
Fair warning: Tickets went on sale early and are selling quickly. Due to space restrictions, we can only offer 100 tickets, so we recommend buying yours as soon as possible.
Don't wait! Get your ticket now before they sell out! The location is amazing.
Led by Prof. Dr. med. Gerhard Gründer and conducted in a collaboration between the Central Institute of Mental Health (ZI) Mannheim, MIND Foundation, and Charité Universitätsmedizin Berlin, EPIsoDE investigated psilocybin combined with short-term psychotherapy for treatment-resistant depression in 144 patients.
The study found an overall reduction in depressive symptoms, providing further evidence of a potentially clinically relevant antidepressant effect in a population for whom existing treatments often remain insufficient.
It also supports the safety of this intervention when delivered within a structured psychotherapeutic framework of preparation and integration. This type of implementation-oriented clinical research is closely aligned with MIND’s mission to help bring evidence-based psychedelic therapy into public health care. If you want to dig deeper: read the paper and visit the APT Convention 2026 - Gerd Gründer will take a closer look at the results there.
The MIND Foundation is expanding its clinical training team and is currently recruiting a Head of Clinical Training Program to help lead and further develop our Augmented Psychotherapy Training (APT).
APT is MIND’s advanced training program for physicians, psychotherapists, and other mental-health professionals working in psychedelic-augmented psychotherapy. Over the past years, it has grown into an international learning community in support of our mission to bring evidence-based psychedelic therapy into public health care. Why? Because each APT alumni is not only fully equipped to practice augmented psychotherapy, but can take on a multiplying role of communicating, training, and collaborating in clinical practice with colleagues in their network.
The new colleague will contribute to educational leadership, curriculum development, faculty coordination, and the continued professionalization of the program. The position is based in Berlin and involves close collaboration with the teams at MIND Foundation and OVID Clinic Berlin.
We would especially like to encourage members of the APT network to consider this opportunity — or to share it with qualified colleagues who may be a strong fit.
Beyond Experience - Psychedelic Integration Workshop in Berlin, 20 - 23 April
From 20 to 23 April, the MIND Foundation will host the next edition of Beyond Experience in Berlin — our iconic four-day workshop focused on integrating psychedelic experiences into everyday life.
Beyond Experience is a facilitated group process for integrating psychedelic and contemplative experiences. No substances are used. Participants can explore non-pharmacological methods for altering their state of mind — e.g. meditation, breathwork, music journeys, rhythmic body exercises — alongside structured inquiry and group dialogue grounded in evidence-based integration methods. The workshop is designed for people who want to reflect on past experiences in a structured setting, as well as for those preparing for an experience and seeking greater clarity and care. It includes methods from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). And we have a special offer for you: use the code BE_MIND20 for 20% off your ticket.
From 15 to 17 May, MIND Foundation will be present at the TRYP Expo at Berlin’s Funkhaus, described by the organizers as "Europes biggest mental health, psychedelic science, wellness, festival and human flourishing." We are looking forward to contributing a public health and clinical perspective to the program and to having a dedicated MIND booth on site, right next to an OVID Clinics booth.
If you are attending, stop by and say hello. We look forward to meeting members of our community, colleagues, and new visitors, and to having thoughtful conversations throughout the event.
MIND will also contribute to the stage program: on Sunday, 17 May at 12:30, Andrea Jungaberle, Henrik Jungaberle, and Simon Reichersdörfer will take to the Main Stage.
Members of the MIND community can also enjoy a 10% discount on tickets by using the referral link below or the coupon code 'MINDFOUNDATION'.
