Bring psilocybin therapy to those who need it most

Dear Reader,

Can you and your network change the life of a person suffering from mental health disorders? Yes. You can. For some people, standard treatments have failed them severely. By donating to a grant for the compassionate use of psilocybin, you make a life-changing difference and help build the infrastructure to deliver this therapy within the healthcare system.

With gratitude and warm wishes,

Your contribution this year can make a very concrete difference!

Help a patient access psilocybin therapy when no other treatment works.

More than 500 people with severe depression have applied for psilocybin-assisted therapy at OVID Clinic Berlin within Germany’s new compassionate-use framework, alongside further applications at the Central Institute for Mental Health Mannheim. The reimbursement of costs for patients with statutory health insurance is currently the subject of intensive negotiations. It will likely have to be applied individually in each case. Treatment capacities will certainly not be sufficient.

The OVID Clinic Berlin possesses the necessary skills and licenses. Psilocybin itself is provided free of charge. But the 6-week psychotherapy and medical care costs more than €15,000 per person. Otherwise only privately-insured and wealthy self-payers can afford it. MIND’s Psilocybin Patient Grant Program helps those who have exhausted all other options. Your donation goes 100% to a patient's individual treatment package.

Each grant can be life-changing.

"The second psilocybin dose session, definitely. That was the pivotal moment. When I came home after that, I had a feeling for the first time in a long time that I could actually contribute something valuable to this world, and how, and I had a sense that I might want to experience things in this world."

Empower a therapist – one APT scholarship reaches hundreds of patients.

High-quality care depends on well-trained professionals – open-minded but professional. Our Augmented Psychotherapy Training (APT) is a 15-month, 400-hour advanced course that equips physicians, licensed therapists and other mental health professionals to deliver psychedelic- and ketamine-assisted psychotherapy safely, ethically, and in line with current evidence.

Many committed clinicians in public healthcare, community clinics, or low-income countries cannot afford this training. By funding APT scholarships, you enable them to participate and ultimately reach hundreds of patients who would otherwise never see these treatments.

"The first two words that came to mind were gratitude and optimism. I think only in the next few days we’ll really see the magnitude of what we are starting here together."

"This week showed me how important it is to bring such a delicate and highly discussed topic as psychedelics into the world in a very professional and safe way."

Become a member – be part of sustainable mental health innovation.

Regular donations through membership provide MIND with the stability to plan long-term initiatives, including running clinical studies, building training programs, supporting young researchers, and maintaining a critical, evidence-based voice in public debates on psychedelics.

As a member, you join an international community of clinicians, researchers, students, and informed citizens from more than 50 countries. You gain access to events, learning opportunities, and networks in the lively MIND community – and you help shape an ethical culture of consciousness (Bewusstseinskultur) in which psychedelic therapies are integrated safely and responsibly into mental healthcare.

Thank you.
